Chinstrap Penguins

Chinstraps have a strap
of black feathers on their neck. They live on sub-Antarctic islands
and the Antarctica Peninsula. It grows 18 to 24 inches tall and
weighs 9 pounds. They build circular nests of stones, 16 inches
around and 6 inches high in the center. They lay 2 eggs. The parents
take turns with the eggs, 5 to 10 days at a time. Eggs hatch in
33 to 35 days. The chicks stay in nests for 20 to 30 days. The chicks
go to sea in 60 days.
