All penguins are birds. They all live south
of the equator. They have wings, but they can't fly. They use
their wings like flippers when they swim. They swim fast and
spend most of their time in the water. They have heavy bones
so they can go deep in the water. They have webbed feet to help
them when they are swimming.
Seals are only an enemy to penguins when they
are in the water. They are not an enemy to healthy adult penguins
on land because they can't move as fast as penguins. In the
water seals try to eat penguins because they have krill in their
stomachs
There are 17 different types of penguins. Our
computer program will tell you about 10 different types of penguins.
